Giada De Laurentiis serves a taste of her Vegas menu at Sundance

Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis sure knows how to keep both audiences and diners intrigued to see what she comes up with next. At last night’s kick off charity dinner for the 30th anniversary of the Sundance Film Festival, the Italian cooking goddess gave a mouthwatering preview of menu items likely to be featured in her Vegas restaurant, which opens this spring.

At Stein Ericksen Lodge in the swanky ski town of Deer Valley, Utah, the lengthy dinner benefited the Sundance Institute and featured a room of emerging artists and notables. With some of the fundraiser tables going for up to $25,000, the 350 guests began with lobster risotto arancini and chicken marsala meatball appetizers, plus rosemary focaccia and lemon flatbread and a “duet of salads.” Vegetable Bolognese rigatoni, Veal Loin Saltimbocca, stuffed bell peppers finished out the main course options, closing with a tangerine sorbet dessert.
