Three Las Vegas juice bars worth a squeeze

Is the pressed juice worth the squeeze? In this case, yes, if you want to boost immunity, lose weight and get a kick of energy. Whether you’re a daily juice fanatic or think that green, bottled stuff looks like swamp water, add these top Las Vegas juice bars to your list of healthy go-to spots. As the juicing trend picks up full steam, here’s a roundup of three favorites.

Function Juicery: A boutique blend of infusions This adorable boutique store showcases its colorful juice concotions in a large refrigerator, so head in and start stocking up on your fave flavors. Colorful with a clean design, the bottled juices come in an array of tastes, from ultra-green to light and sweet.  Its blonde bombshell owner Sabrina Defilippo can help guests select a short or long term cleanse to fit their lifestyle—and tastebuds. Longtime juicers will appreciate the punch that its Function juice packs. The mix of apple, romaine, cucumber, spinach, dandelion leaves, fennel, lemon, ginger, parsley and cilantro provides a whole host of enzymes, antioxidents and vitamins with powerful cleansing properties. Tip: if it’s too strong, mix this juice with a sweeter one to soften the taste. What to get: Flush, an alkalinzing mix of apple, burdock root, lemon and ginger. The Roots juice also provides a long list of fruits and veggies blended into one drink, with a beet and carrot base. Circulate contains a zippy mix of apple, beet, blackberry, dried hibiscus and ginger.

Squeeze: Would you like a shot with that? In a boozy city like this, the option to imbibe with real fruit is a just an added bonus. Enter Squeeze, a Las Vegas juice bar located right at The LINQ’s entrance off Las Vegas Boulevard. Not only is Squeeze an organic juice and smoothie hot spot, but it stocks a full bar so alcoholic mixes and shots can be added to any drink. The juice fusions mix up pressed juice and spirits with kicks of everything from Worcestershire sauce to basil and jalapeno while the smoothies are packed with veggies, fruit and your choice of Greek yogurt or almond milk. (Spike them for an additional $2.) Don’t know what you’re looking for, but aiming for a certain feeling? Symbols on the menu for hydration, health, energy, immunity, and hangover relief make choosing your juice remedy easy. What to get: The Virgin Mary and Blueberry Fauxito and are the most popular, but you can also score sangria made with organic wine here—a rare find on a Vegas drink menu.

The Juice Standard: A (W)Healthy kind of lifestyle The Juice Standard wasn’t started just to dole out strawberry-pineapple-spinach combos. Owners Jamie Stephenson and Marcella Melnichuk have created entire lifestyle and philosophy around their brand and products, which is evident in everything from bottling to marketing. Every juice is named after a corresponding empowering word such as “brilliance” or “magnificence.” Both women believe in channeling “health” and “wealth” (as in, an existence rich in all of life’s best offerings) and promote their “Bee Whealthy” phrase, highlighted by their adorable bee mascot. Each bottle of “grati-juice” as they call it, is cold-pressed with ultra-premium ingredients, including non HPP nut milk, produce that’s organic, locally sourced and sustainably farmed. “We encourage people to pop over to try a juice tasting with our friendly knowledgeable staff,” says the dynamic duo. “Our juices are literally pounds of produce, and since we don’t all get even a fraction of our recommended daily serving of veggies, one can now drink several servings in one bottle. What to get: Beat the summer heat with a hydrating refresher like the Bee Chill: watermelon, cucumber and lemon. Like Starbucks’ green tea lattes? The “Bee Excellent,” made with coconut water, raw cashews, spirulina, agave and vanilla bean, tastes just like it with the same addicting creamy texture.
