Why 3535 is Vegas' coolest bar to try right now

Calling 3535 a “lobby bar” doesn’t do it justice, or even scratch the surface of cool offerings here. The Strip’s only infusions bar isn’t your standard walk-up, pre-party destination, but a rather a cool, not-so-hidden gem among Las Vegas bars.

From mixology beverage carts to its holy grail—35 delicious infusions—3535 at The LINQ Hotel & Casino has more than enough to warrant several trips. (And that’s ok with me.) There’s a long list to try, from barrel aged cocktails to craft beer and a drink that tastes like a Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookie. (If you want to keep it simple, Moet champagne by the glass is only $14—a major Strip deal to steal.) The bar’s cut-to-order diamond cut ice cubes are also a draw. In seconds, bartenders have the Voss Water ice cubes cut to a diamond shape, and can use them in the barrel aged cocktails per guest requests.

The creators of the bar spent months concocting, testing and trying the infusions, finally narrowing it down to 35 as a nod to its name (and the hotel’s Las Vegas Boulevard address number.) They’ve taken edible items that may seem wacky—think sage, siracha hot sauce, ginger, espresso beans, chai tea, rosemary—and made them into drinkable works of art that you can’t believe taste so good. The ingredients soak in the spirits anywhere from a few hours to weeks to combine their essence.

The Pumpkin Pie cocktail infuses Captain Morgan Rum with fresh homemade pumpkin puree. It has a graham cracker crust rim, and fresh whipped cream on top with a little bit of pumpkin spice. On the other end of the spectrum, there’s a roasted garlic tequila, and a garden one that’s 80 ingredients.

The bar’s stimulating, diverse flavors are one of the main reasons for its heavy buzz. Whether you’ve traveled the globe to every hot mixology bar or usually prefer your vodka-cranberry standby, everyone will try something new here that they’ve never seen before. The colorful, pretty drinks also make for share-worthy social media posts, perfect for the dynamic, contemporary crowd that The LINQ Hotel draws. The bar gets repeat customers weekly, often with guests who like the combination of its easy access, affordability and experimentation with a variety of new spirits—without trying the same thing twice.
